Whistler & His Jug Band~ Hold That Tiger (1931)

Just a simple fun, amazing jug band song from WAY back! (1931) I hope you enjoy this. Whistler and his band were very very popular thru the 20s & early 30s..as far as I know. The were originally from the Louisville Kentucky area and traveled thru the south with their amazing sounds and good time tunes. But sadly- most of the musicians are unknown. No one knows the names of most of these guys. Whistler ..pictured here in the photo on the left (with guitar) was actually Buford Threlkeld. It is known that he had a banjo player named Willie Black- but I am not for certain that Willie Black played on this recording. He could possibly be the banjo player pictured at left next to Whistler. Feel free to download this song from Internet Archives.org.
